Flint police say they have a person of interest in custody after a double homicide over the weekend.
The suspect's name has not been released because he is a juvenile. He is believed to be the younger brother of one of the victims.
The shooting happened just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday at a home located at 2922 Brandon St. near Knight Avenue in Flint.
The victims are being identified as 22-year-old Kareem Brian Walters and 28-year-old Alexis Lynn Frazier. Walters was pronounced dead at the scene. Frazier was taken to Hurley Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says the child will be tried as an adult. If convicted of first-degree murder, the teen could face life behind bars.
It's the city's 28th and 29th homicides this year.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Flint Police Department at 810-237-6800 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-422-5245.
