Nashville's second night of fireworks set for Friday have been canceled after officials said they didn't want to press their luck for another night of no rain.
Several other communities around Middle Tennessee have postponed their own Independence Day events.
Mount Juliet and Franklin have both postponed events scheduled for tonight. Mount Juliet will rescheduled for tomorrow night. Franklin has not announced a make-up date.
Brentwood canceled its fireworks show scheduled for tonight. It has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 14 following the Concert in Park event at Crockett Park.
In Nashville, officials canceled the performance of the Nashville Symphony as part of the downtown fireworks show tonight. The fireworks show is scheduled to proceed with recorded music from the symphony.
The fireworks show scheduled for tonight at Fort Campbell has been rescheduled to tomorrow night at 9:00. The band concert set for today has been canceled. The carnival will continue as scheduled.
Murfreesboro has canceled the events surrounding its fireworks show at McKnight Park. However, officials said the city would still have its fireworks show between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
Nolensville and Chapel Hill officials have canceled shows in their cities. Neither city has announced if the fireworks will be rescheduled.
Bell Buckle officials rescheduled its fireworks show for Saturday.
Independence Day parades scheduled in Greenbrier, McMinnville and Spring Hill Thursday were canceled because of rain.
Goodlettsville canceled its event scheduled for Thursday at Moss-Wright Park. The city announced it will hold a patriotic community events at a later date that will include fireworks.
The Maury County Parks have canceled the fireworks scheduled for Thursday. However, the scheduled concert and other activities will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Maury County Senior Center.
Manchester postponed its fireworks scheduled from tomorrow at Manchester City Park until Saturday. The 5K race scheduled for Thursday morning will proceed as scheduled. The scheduled entertainment has been canceled.
Tullahoma and Shelbyville both postponed events until Labor Day weekend.
The Tullahoma fireworks show at the Tullahoma Airport will be held Saturday, Aug. 31. The Shelbyville fireworks show at H.V. Griffin Park will be held on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.
Winchester previously had postponed its celebration to Saturday.
The city's fireworks in Lawrenceburg have been postponed until Friday night, weather permitting.
Gallatin has moved all events indoors at the Gallatin Civic Center, where music will begin at 6 p.m. Fireworks are still planned to go forward at dusk.
The city of Lebanon has canceled all 4th of July events, and the fireworks show will likely be rescheduled for Labor Day weekend.
Cross Plains has canceled its 4th of July festivities, including the fireworks show. The city plans to launch the fireworks Labor Day instead.
