Three separate shootings keep Saginaw police busy

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

It was a violent holiday weekend in Saginaw as police investigate three shootings that all happened in fewer than 24 hours.

The latest happened Sunday night around 9:45 p.m. off Jefferson Avenue between Gallagher and Randolph streets in Saginaw.

The Saginaw News reports at least one person was injured and taken to the hospital.

That person's condition is unknown at this time. It's not clear if anyone was arrested.

That shooting came hours after the first of the three incidents happened. Someone opened fire on Cass Street near South Oakley in Saginaw.

That shooting took place around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

An hour after that shooting, police say a second shooting victim showed up at Saint Mary's Medical Center.

That person also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police are also looking for the suspect in a shooting that left one person injured.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Friday morning at a popular Hookah Lounge in Saginaw.

Gunfire erupted and that's when police say a 19-year-old man was shot in the arm.

The Saginaw County Sheriff's department tells us large crowds and disorderly conduct are an ongoing problem at the strip mall.

The shooting victim who was taken to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw and is expected to survive.
