Teen confesses to car theft, larceny

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Two Bay County teens are in hot water after one of the teens confessed to stealing a car in Bay County's Hampton Township.

The teens are accused of stealing a black Chevy Impala from a residence on Hampstead Road Wednesday morning and dumping the vehicle in a field off of German Road, east of Bowker Road.

The teens are also suspected in vehicle larcenies that took place on Cecelia Road.

Hampton Township Police questioned one of the teens and received a confession about his involvement in the crime along with the other teen.

One of the teens is believed to be from the Essexville area.

Officers are in the process of obtaining a warrant.
