Four people rescued on Saginaw Bay

Posted: Updated:

Four people are safe after a dramatic rescue on the Saginaw Bay.

The Coast Guard says they were called just after midnight Saturday night where four people were stranded on their disabled boat.

Two adults and two children were trapped in the water on their 20-foot vessel after it broke down Saturday afternoon.

The Coast Guard arrived in a 45-foot boat from Essexville as well as a helicopter from Detroit.

They confirmed the alternator and battery failed on their boat.

The people onboard were brought back to shore safely.

Nobody was injured from the incident.
