LILLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -
Authorities say they've removed dozens of animals from a West Michigan home where they found at least 10 kittens and a fawn in a freezer.
The Grand Rapids Press reports a search warrant was executed Friday at a home in Newaygo County's Lilley Township where someone was practicing veterinary services without a license. Two people are expected in court Thursday to face charges.
Officials confiscated at least 50 cats, one dog, two rabbits and a skunk. The sheriff's department says a dead cat also was found in the home's yard.
Some of the animals reportedly didn't have enough food or water. Animal cruelty and other charges are expected in the case.
Names of those involved weren't immediately released. The home is located about 55 miles north of Grand Rapids.
