Man charged in Dearborn store double-killing

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) -

A man has been charged with murder in the deaths of two employees of a Dearborn store.

Lavere Bryant is to be arraigned Wednesday in Dearborn District Court on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of felony murder as well as armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment, felon In possession of a firearm and felony firearm charges.

The 34-year-old Dearborn resident is accused in the fatal shootings of Brenna Machus and Joseph Orlando. Both victims were 20 years old and employees of the Family Dollar store.

Machus disappeared on July 15, the same night Orlando was fatally shot in the store.

Machus' body later was discovered in a wooded area less than 2 miles away. She was an assistant manager.
