Police say they've arrested a teenage boy accused of kidnapping a girl in Avondale and forcing her to a vacant home where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Avondale Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brandon Busse said officers were called to the 4600 block of North 124th Avenue about 6:30 a.m. on July 25 for a report of a sexual assault.
Busse said during the investigation, detectives learned the suspect abducted the victim from a home by displaying an unknown weapon and demanded the victim go with him to a vacant home in the area where she was allegedly assaulted, police said.
The suspect was booked on one count of sexual assault, one count of kidnapping, one count of burglary and one count of aggravated assault.
The name of the suspect is not being released because he is a juvenile.
