CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -

Police negotiators coaxed a man wanted on a felony warrant into surrendering after he barricaded himself inside an apartment.

The suspect, 22-year-old Jesse Romero, was described as armed and dangerous.

At about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday , Romero, who was being chased by police, jumped out of a vehicle, which rolled into a parked SUV at McQueen just south of Chandler Boulevard, police said.

Chandler police said SWAT officers surrounded the apartment while a police negotiator convinced the man to give up.
