Body pulled from Saginaw River ID'd by police

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Saginaw Police pulled a man's body from the Saginaw River on Friday morning.

The body was found by docks near the west end of Ojibway Island by a fisherman in the area, around 8:20 a.m.

Late Friday afternoon, police said they identified the deceased man as 62-year-old Milton Buford. Authorities said the man's family has been notified and that his cause of death is still unknown.

Police said the Michigan State Police are assisting with the investigation and an autopsy is pending.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information regarding the incident to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-422-JAIL.
