TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

It was a violent Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Lighthouse Bar on Broadway Avenue in South Toledo.

Last call was wrapping up when shots rang out, killing a man.

"Security is perfect over there but it's just one random guy running through the parking lot," said Bill, who witnessed the shooting from his apartment balcony and asked Toledo News Now not to use his last name.

Bill says a fight broke out in the parking lot.

Security guards pepper sprayed the crowd.

Meanwhile, 24 year old Marvin Smith was leaving the bar.

"And about 4-5 seconds later, he comes out and begins randomly shooting, pop, pop, pop and I saw the guy face plant down into the ground,"  said Bill.

Toledo Police say one of the guards was shot twice by Smith, suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Other guards exchanged gunfire with Smith.

"Security guard just shot him down, pop, pop, pop," said Bill.

Police say Smith was shot three times.

"A group of guys carried him over in-between two cars. And they're yelling 'Stay conscious,'" said Bill.

Smith was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center where he died.

Toledo Police say no charges will be filed against the security guard who killed Smith.
