Flash Flood Watch - Yep, Another One: It's the same story on a different day. Due to the development and relatively slow movement of several heavy rain cells, flash flooding will be possible through this evening. The watch is in effect for Stephens, Oconee, Pickens, northern Greenville, Transylvania, southern Jackson and Franklin counties.
The thing to pay close attention to is just how fast the water can rise now that we have dealt with heavy rain for the last few months. As we mention frequently, don't try to drive across a flooded road when you can't tell how deep the water is. If the water is moving (has a current), it can easily overwhelm a car and take it into the current downstream.
Change This Weekend?: We'll remain locked into the same sort of upper-level, wind pattern and we'll also continue to deal with the same low-level, tropical humidity. This means more scattered downpours of heavy rain will be possible Saturday and Sunday.
