High pressure set up enough to bring plentiful sunshine early Monday, with just a few passing clouds expected by lunchtime. Southwest winds are pushing moisture from the Gulf into the Upstate, keeping us humid. A disturbance is expected to roll through later today, sparking scattered showers and thunderstorms shortly after noon.
A cold front will approach the region on Tuesday, bringing widespread showers and storms as the day moves on. Highs in the upper 80s Upstate, lower 80s for mountain towns.
The unsettled weather continues through the remainder of the week, as we'll see mostly cloudy skies, widespread showers and storms, as well as falling temperatures each day through the end of the week. By Friday, the Upstate will have highs near 80°, with middle 70s in the mountains. Stick with us, as the amount of rain we've already seen plus the expected wet weather could pose some flood concerns throughout the next 7 days.
