Two injured after crash in Isabella Co.

ISABELLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Three people were sent to the hospital with injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Isabella County Thursday afternoon.

A 74-year-old man pulled in front of a car at the intersection Winn and Pickard roads and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The crash happened around 2 p.m., about 10 miles west of Mount Pleasant.

The 74-year-old man was ejected from the vehicle and was pinned under the rear tire of the other vehicle involved. He was airlifted to Covenant in Saginaw and is listed in serious condition.

His passenger in the vehicle, a 68-year-old from Big Rapids, was uninjured.

The driver of the other vehicle involved, a 38-year-old Mount Pleasant resident, was unharmed. The passenger in that vehicle, a 64-year-old, sustained a head injury and was taken to Mclaren Hospital in Mount Pleasant for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
