Dustin Kunnari was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of two. It should have left him dead, but twenty years later, Kunnari is healthy and celebrating a big milestone: He's getting married.

"When we first heard about Dustin being diagnosed with a brain tumor, it was the most devastating time of our life," said Mariann, Dustin's mother.

Dustin was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a highly malignant brain tumor. Radiation and chemotherapy would have left him in a vegetable state, so the Kunnaris decided to try something else.

"I will always remember going to see the Burzynskis, and getting the antineoplaston treatment," Dustin said. "It was nothing but good, wonderful memories for me. They took me right in as a family."

Dr. Burzynski developed antineoplaston therapy. It's an alternative cancer treatment that is not approved by the FDA, but the Kunnaris say it saved Dustin's life.

"I never dreamed Dustin would be where he is now. Never," said his mother. "We were hoping for maybe a year, two years."

At the age of three, he was cancer free, and has been ever since. Now, at 22, Dustin is getting married.

"I'm really happy that, first of all, I can be here," Dustin said. "I'm happy that God brought Calah into my life…I'm really excited."

"It's a very emotional time," said Mariann. "I'm extremely happy for Dustin. So happy to have him, to let him have life like we all can have, and a future with a wonderful wife. It's just going to be the best."
