The weekend rain didn't cause too many flooding issues, in fact it felt pretty good outside and we got a few nice, long dry stretches! Because of that, the flood threat heading into this week isn't looking terribly high, but after this morning's rain, we really don't need a whole lot more! Here are some of our rain totals from the last 2 days:
For the rest of today, watch for scattered to isolated showers, but widespread heavy rain doesn't look likely. More rain will push in overnight into the morning commute, but it's looking like a few showers and not as heavy as this morning. Nevertheless, you'll want to give yourself some extra time to get the kids geared up and driven to school!
Rain chances will slowly go down through the week. Essentially we are in a stagnant pattern through Wednesday, with a stationary front to our south and a constant moisture flow into the Carolinas and Georgia. This will keep things unsettled, but by Thursday and Friday we should notice a drying trend. This weekend a front will push through to bring some potentially sunny weather for Sunday/Monday (can you imagine???!!!).
