A prominent female motorcyclist who passed away on Saturday was laid to rest Wednesday in Saginaw.
Christine Friske, 51, died on Saturday after a two-and-a-half-year bout with breast cancer.
Friske and her husband Greg owned Timberwolf Cycle and Powersports on Bay Road in Saginaw. Friske was well-known throughout the community as an avid cyclist and was the founder of the Timberwolf Cycle Lady Riders group.
Friske was also an avid volunteer with the Saginaw Mitten Bay Council and Girl Scout troop.
About 100 motorcycle enthusiasts showed up Tuesday night at Stardust Lanes in Saginaw to remember Friske. A ceremony took place Wednesday morning, also at Stardust Lanes.
Friske was laid to rest at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, located at 3427 Adams Ave. in Saginaw. Motorcyclists who have gathered to remember Feiske also have a salute planned for after the funeral.
