Good morning! It's been a soggy overnight and morning throughout our area, but we're starting to dry out as we move toward midday. Wednesday afternoon and evening we're expecting to see more showers and a possible thunderstorm, but not everyone will have to deal with this wet weather. Storms will be more dominant through the Northwestern areas of the Upstate and throughout Western NC. Temperatures will top out in the middle 70s for the mountains, with low 80s Upstate.
Thursday, expect another round of showers and thunderstorms. Though we could see an isolated early-day shower, most of the storms should hold off until the afternoon hours. Highs reach into the upper 70s to middle 80s.
Friday will be the start of a drying trend (FINALLY!), as we'll be back to partly cloudy skies and just a slim chance for a storm. Over the weekend, this trend continues with less and less of a chance for rain as Saturday and Sunday progress. This all happens in the wake of a cold front, so even though we'll be drier and sunnier over the weekend, temperatures will be held off into the upper 70s to middle 80s.
