Car driven into house causes blaze

Posted: Updated:

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a car drove into a house Saturday afternoon.

Troopers say Thomas A. Bosse, Age 45, of Perrysburg was driving north on State Route 199 when he went off the right side of the road. His car struck a fence that was surrounding a pool before striking the house.

The accident caused the house to go up in flames.

The accident happened in Troy Township in Wood County on Ohio 199, between Anderson Road and Dowling Road.

Several fire departments had to be called out to put out the flames.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

One person was in the house and two people were in the pool. None of them were injured.

Troopers say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
