For the second time in less than a week, another Central Michigan University student has been found dead inside an apartment.
CMU police confirm to WNEM.com that James Walter Gasco, 59, was discovered dead inside his on-campus apartment on Washington Street.
Gasco's body was found on Monday morning and students of the university were notified by an email alert.
Campus authorities said they do not suspect foul play in Gasco's death. No obvious cause of death could be determined at the scene but police say the medical examiner will provide both the time and cause of death at a later date.
No further information about the situation were released.
Last week, a 22-year-old CMU student was found unresponsive by her roommates. Police said they didn't suspect foul play in Kelly Markatos' death either. An autopsy turned up "inconclusive" results and now police are waiting on her toxicology results.
