Police ask public for help tracking down bank robber

LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Imlay City police are asking for the public's help to track down a suspected bank robber following a heist last Friday.

Authorities said the Talmer Bank and Trust, at 715 S. Cedar, was robbed by a Hispanic-looking man. The robber handed the teller a note demanding money. Following the robbery, the man fled northbound on foot.

The suspect is described as standing between 5'7" and 5'10" tall, was last seen wearing a maroon or red wig, white knit cap and sunglasses.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the Imlay City Police Department at 810-724-2345 or Lapeer County Central Dispatch at 810-6677-0292.
