A new city park was dedicated to U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal in Springfield Monday. The former Plastics Park was owned by Eastman Chemical Company. They had been working on donating the park in the Indian Orchard neighborhood for some time.
The park came with an existing baseball diamond, basketball court, playground, pavilion and restrooms. Residents in the neighborhood chose the name of the new park. A new sign for the Congressman Richard E. Neal Indian Orchard Community Park was also unveiled.
The park is located on Page Boulevard.
