Should state lawmakers be required to pass drug tests?

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Drug testing for welfare has people talking after a state representative tried to change the bill.

USA Today reports that Jon Switalski from Warren offered an amendment that would require all lawmakers to pass drug tests as well but that amendment failed.

Right now the house is currently considering a bill that would deny benefits for any recipient who fails or refuses to take an employer's drug test.

TV5 wanted to know if you think lawmakers should be required to take a drug test. Here's what some of you are saying.

Ken writes "If we have to take drug tests to get a job so should the lawmakers and welfare recipients." But Matthew says its just more wasted money.
