CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The Clare County Sheriff department tells WNEM.com that their deputies are investigating the reported runaway of a teenage girl.

Authorities said 14-year-old Kaylee Smith-Sanders, of Farwell, was last seen around 7:35 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at her Farwell home when she left for school.

Kaylee is described as being 5' 5," weighing 130 lbs with blue eyes and blondish-red hair. She was last seen wearing a turquoise colored hoodie sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Deputies said school attendance records showed Kaylee has not attended school recently.

Authorities said a tip has confirmed Kaylee was not abducted and has been in contact with a friend recently. Right now investigators said there is no indication of foul play in Kaylee's disappearance.

Anyone with information as to Kaylee's whereabouts is asked to contact the Clare County Sheriff Department at 989-539-7166.
