SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Two people are dead, and a third person was seriously injured in a triple shooting.

It happened in the 1400 block of S. Michigan Avenue near Perry Street in Saginaw around 3:30 a.m. at a 3-unit halfway house for parolees after their release from prison.

Police said two men were killed and a third man was taken to an area hospital for treatment. That lone survivor is currently in critical condition.

Police wouldn't say what prompted the shooting. The ages and names of the victims haven't been released by police, however, police have ID'd the men and are notifying next of kin.

Part of the roadway was blocked while police investigated the scene, but it has since reopened to motorists.

The event was organized by the Saginaw County Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children and other homicide survivors.

Meanwhile, Saginaw police held a news conference at Saginaw City Hall Wednesday night, addressing allegations made by the ACLU in regards to alleged racial profiling and the Milton Hall shooting case.
