A 55-year-old man from Berlin died after a motorcycle crash on Route 9 in Middletown Tuesday morning.
Mark Lemanski was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson southbound on Route 9 near Exit 16 around 6 a.m., police said.
Around that time, Lemanski's motorcycle collided with a 2013 Toyota Prius, which was being driven by Meriden resident, Frank Mohr.
Lemanski was taken to Middlesex Hospital where he later died from injuries suffered in the crash.
Mohr and his passenger were not seriously injured in the crash and refused medical treatment, police said.
Police said the Toyota Prius was stopped near the exit for Hartford Avenue.
Route 9 in the area and the exit 16 off-ramp were closed for a brief period of time. However, both reopened by 7:15 a.m.
The crash is under investigation by the Middletown Police Department. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 860-638-4064.
