SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Scottsdale police are asking for the public's help in finding a man with a brain injury who has been missing since Sept. 10.

Police said 37-year-old Scott Thompson was last seen near his home in the area of Hayden and Thomas roads and last heard from on Sept. 21 via text message.

Police said he left home on foot and that his cell phone is now turned off.

Thompson, who police said has made suicidal threats in the past, could be headed to Flagstaff.

He is described as white, 5'9", 175 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about Thompson or his whereabouts is asked to call police at 480-312-5000.
