Moviegoers in the Valley will have their hands full when it comes to entertainment.
The Scottsdale International Film Festival kicks off Friday and runs through Tuesday. Several films produced in Arizona are making their debut at this year's festival, which is in its 13th year.
The event will feature 55 films from 31 nations, starting with the opening night film Decoding Annie Parker, based on the true story of a breast cancer patient.
Many of the directors and producers will present their movies and take part in a question-and-answer segment with the audience.
Last year, more than 8,500 people attended the festival. Since 2001, the event has showcased more than 350 films from more than 60 nations.
