"The police killed my son and they're trying to cover it up," cried Tina Taylor.
Family and friends walked the same path that Reggie Williams took trying to run from Cleveland Police Friday night.
Williams was being investigated for kidnapping and was being chased by Cleveland Vice.
Police claim when they caught him in the woods he complained of exhaustion and couldn't stand, so they called an ambulance.
Williams was pronounced dead eight hours later at Marymount Hospital.
Police tell 19 Action News Reggie Williams, 29, was arrested in the area of East 76th and Harvard when the incident happened.
The family believes he was tasered and that's what killed him. They're going off the word of an eyewitness.
"You saw him get tased," asked reporter Dan Deroos. "Yeah they tased him until the taser quit working," answered Kimberly Hawthorne.
"Describe to me how you know he got tased," added Deroos. "Because you could see the light coming from the bushes," Hawthorne stated.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner released the following statement Monday:
The autopsy was conducted today. The case is pending additional testing to determine a cause and manner of death but no lethal injury was identified at autopsy.
