WNEM.com has learned the Saginaw School District will be laying off a half-dozen employees, effective Nov. 1.

The administration said the layoffs are a result of the district being at 98 percent of projected student count.

A total of six people will be cut; they include one administrator, two teachers, one ancillary teaching position (such as a school psychologist or social worker), and two clerical employees.

No further information was released.
