MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

The Midland Police department is looking for information regarding a hit-and-run crash involving a red truck with a black topper.

On Thursday around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run crash at the corner of George and E. Carpenter. The suspect vehicle struck a fire hydrant, causing significant damage to city property.

Police said the vehicle in question is further described as being a later model, red pick-up truck, possibly a Chevrolet, with a black topper. The vehicle was driven by a white male possibly in his 30s. The vehicle sustained noticeable passenger side front-end damage, including a passenger side rear flat tire.

Authorities said the driver fled the scene South on E. Carpenter. Anyone with information is asked to call 989-839-4713.
