More teams clinch playoff berths after Week 7 action

It's week 7 of the high school football season and more teams have clinched playoff berths. 28 area teams have now punched their ticket to the second season with wins this week. Here is a look at the teams that have clinched playoff berths and how they earned their ticket.

  • Richmond 6-1, beat Algonac 42-14
  • Almont 6-1, beat Cros-Lex 42-7
  • Lapeer West 6-1, beat Clio 48-26
  • Lake Fenton 6-1, beat Perry 59-6
  • Harbor Beach 6-1, beat Ubly 55-6
  • Reese 6-1, beat Laker 55-13
  • Saginaw Nouvel 6-1, beat Traverse City St Francis 28-14
  • Coleman 6-1, beat Vestaburg 56-29
  • Mio Au Sable 6-1, beat Au Gres Sims 55-0
  • Mount Pleasant 6-1, beat Bay City Western 40-21
  • Midland Dow 6-1, beat Saginaw Heritage 28-7
  • Midland 6-1 beat Saginaw 49-18
  • Flint Carma,n Ainsworth 6-1, beat Flint Powers 28-10
  • Freeland 6-1, beat Hemlock 26-14
  • Frankenmuth 6-1, beat Caro 51-0
  • North Branch 6-1, beat Birch Run 28-0

Those teams now join Cadillac, Fenton, New Lothrop, Montrose, Marlette, Standish-Sterling, Carson City Crystal, Lincoln Alcona, Saginaw Swan Valley, Ithaca, DeWitt and Sanford Meridian as area eams that have reached the six wins to qualify for the playoffs.
