More than 250 motorcycle riders from across Western Massachusetts made their way into town on Sunday to take part in the inaugural Wicked in Pink run.
The event, which raised money for the Sister Caritas Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center, was created by radio personality Bob "Kaine" Alves.
Alves spent much of 2012 dealing with his own cancer battle, and he is now cancer free. He wanted to create an event to pay it forward.
"It's a great weekend to do it in general," said Alves. "As the riding season comes to an end, this is a way to show thank you for everything we did all summer and bring together people who have suffered and gone through any type of cancer battle."
Sunday's 20-mile ride went from Southampton to Holyoke.
Alves said there was no set money goal, but he would like to double the amount they raised for next year.
