Bay County home damaged by flames, smoke

BAY COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Bangor Township fire crews were called to a house fire after a neighbor saw smoke coming from the home and called 911.

Authorities said no one was home and no one was hurt in the blaze that broke out on Boy Scout Road between Euclid Ave. and 2 Mile Road around 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Officials said the fire started in the front of the house and its exact cause is still under investigation.

Boy Scout road was closed for about two hours while crews battled the blaze. The home suffered significant smoke damage.
