SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

WNEM.com first brought you the story of 6-month-old Rylee Reinbold Monday night.

The little girl was in need of a heart transplant and family and friends were rallying around her as well as planning a benefit to help her parents with medical expenses.

Now, 24 hours later, little Rylee has a new heart.

This according to a website the family has set up.

The transplant operation started early Tuesday at CS Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor.

WNEM TV5 will keep you posted on the Rylee's progress.

In the meantime, the benefit is planned for the family on Nov. 8 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Richville.

A taco bar, Chinese raffle and bake sale are planned to raise money.

An account has also been set up to accept donations at Frankenmuth Credit Union.
