LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The man who police said died trying to stop a gunman inside Bally's casino Monday morning was shot twice, according to an arrest report released Tuesday.

Las Vegas Metro police said about 5:45 a.m., 41-year-old Benjamin Frazier walked in to Drai's After Hours Nightclub inside the Las Vegas Strip property. They said Frazier left his identification with a hostess while he checked out the club, before returning to pay the $30 cover charge.

Investigators said Frazier then changed his mind and became confrontational with a doorman at the club, eventually throwing the doorman to the ground. They said Frazier then pulled out a gun and shot the doorman in the arm. The round from the .38-caliber revolver also hit the doorman in the chest.

Frazier then shot a security guard in the stomach, who collapsed a few feet away, according to the report.

According to the report, Frazier then left the nightclub, randomly pointing the gun. It said a patron of the club, identified in the report as Kenneth Brown, then tackled Frazier. According to the report, Brown and Frazier struggled before Brown was shot twice - once in the neck and once in the chest. Frazier then hit his head when both men fell to the ground, according to the report.

Brown, the two other victims and Frazier were taken to University Medical Center for treatment, but Brown did not survive.

Frazier was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and prohibited person in possession of a firearm. He was being treated at UMC as of Tuesday morning.

According to the report, Frazier was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in April 1997. It said Frazier's gun was not registered in Nevada.
