YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) -

Students plan a march, rally and candlelight vigil for slain Eastern Michigan University football player Demarius Reed.

The school says the "Increase the Peace" events are scheduled to begin Thursday afternoon on its Ypsilanti campus.

The 20-year-old communications major from Chicago was shot multiple times last Friday in what police say may have been a robbery. Police are seeking information from the public for the ongoing investigation.

Visitation for Reed takes place this Friday in Chicago. His funeral is Saturday in Harvey, Ill.

The 5-foot-10, 161-pound Reed played in six games this season, catching 15 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown. He made 18 receptions for 171 yards and scored a touchdown in nine games last season.
