Utility schedules planned power outage overnight

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Consumers energy says a 20-minute electric interruption is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The outage will allow utility crews to make repairs to electric equipment serving the community of Hemlock and surrounding areas in Saginaw County.

Consumers Energy said approximately 2,000 electric customers in Fremont and Richland townships will be affected in the area, which is bordered to the north by Dice Road, to the east by Orr Road, to the south by Grabowski Road and to the west by Steel Road.

Consumers Energy said it traditionally notifies affected customers of scheduled electric outages by postal card, but due to the time constraints of the planned outage, that procedure cannot be used.
