The Huron County Sheriff's office said that an incident involving a Michigan Sugar plant worker and a truck resulted in injures.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Michigan Sugar piling grounds in Sebewaing Township.
The sheriff's office said a sugar company worker, Donald Albrecht, 63, of Unionville, was accidentally struck by a semi driven by Timothy Maust, 56, of Bay Port.
Authorities said the semi truck backed in to the victim, pinning him between the piler and the semi. The semi was then removed from off of the victim and a call was placed to 911. Albrecht was transported to Scheurer Healthcare by Sebewaing EMS for treatment of his injuries.
Albrecht was later flown out by helicopter to a Saginaw area hospital for specialized treatment.
No other information was released by authorities.
