Police identify victim of Southside Richmond homicide

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
Richmond Police have released the identity of a man shot and killed on the Southside Sunday evening.

Police say Jeremy J. Meredith, 21, was shot and killed in the 2400 block of Yorktown Avenue around 10:00p.m.

Police say the call came in reporting disorderly conduct and multiple shots fired next to a food mart, where officers happened to be on an unrelated call. Police were on the scene in moments.
 
Police say they are not currently searching for any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 9804) 780-1000.
