SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

There are new details in a chase that sent a state trooper and the person he was pursuing to the hospital Friday night.

State Police said the trooper tried to pull over a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Standish man on I-675 near Kochville Road in Saginaw County, but the suspect continued to drive.

Police disabled his vehicle with stop sticks, but the suspect took off on foot and climbed over a guardrail.

The trooper grabbed the suspect, and they both fell 35 feet to the ground. The incident closed I-675 for around two hours.

At last word, both the suspect and the officer were listed in stable condition.
