Family of 5 left homeless following fire

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

Fire crews were called to a home late Thursday night on Patterson near Smith Street in Bay City.

The fire was first paged out to firefighters around 10:45 p.m. for a fire at 805 Patterson Street. 

A family of five were inside the home when the blaze broke out, but everyone was able to make it out safely.

Right now investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. TV5 has a crew at the scene and we'll have a live report at noon.

According to TV5 Facebook fan Krystal French, the family has recieved "an enormous response of support from the community." She went on to state, "The outpooring really is awesome to see."
