Adrian student may return to school after making hit list

Posted: Updated:
ADRIAN, MI (Toledo News Now) -

After an Adrian student made a ‘hit list,' identifying classmates she wanted to kill, district leaders have decided to allow her to return to school.

Leaders met with the girl's parents Monday, and say they plan to end her suspension and come up with rules for her to return to school. The superintendent says they are following standard procedure, and anytime something like this happens, they send the student for a psychological evaluation.

A psychologist determined the middle school student was not a threat to others and never had any intention of harming her classmates. District leaders say they will come up with new rules and conditions to make sure everyone is safe at school.

Adrian Police say they investigated the case and turned their information over to the county prosecutor. There has been no word on if the student will face charges for the list.
