Flint police seek help in finding hit-run pickup

FLINT, MI (AP) -

Flint police are asking for help from the public and from auto damage shops in finding a pickup truck that may have been involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 34-year-old man.

Police say Jeffrey C. Lee was leaving a wedding reception just before midnight Sept. 28 outside The Fraternal Order of the Eagles on N. Dort Highway when a black Chevy Silverado hit him.

The Flint Journal says police have received tips that the pickup's owner may be trying to get it fixed. Police said Monday that the truck has damage to the right side of its front.

Police say the vehicle has shiny rims and an extended cab.

Police say they believe the crash was an accident but say the person responsible needs to come forward.
