Five arrested in Saginaw Co. car larcenies

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Five people have been arrested in connection to vehicle larcenies that happened this past weekend in Saginaw Township.

Three suspects were arrested on Saturday morning after they were observed taking items from cars in the 6800 block of Wild Pine Circle and the 2200 block of Rolling Green.

Police arrested two 20-year-old male suspects and an 18-year-old man in connection to the crimes. Officers pulled over the suspects vehicle around 5 a.m. Saturday morning and found stolen items including coins, GPS units, money, prescription drugs and three handguns.

Another larceny investigation led to the arrests of a 19-year-old male and 17-year-old male. The suspects were seen entering vehicles on the 3000 block of Stellwag in Saginaw Township early Saturday morning. Officers approached the suspects and they fled on foot. Police apprehended the two males and found two GPS units and prescription pills.

All of the suspects are lodged in the Saginaw County Jail. Police are requesting felony charges against all five suspects.
