The murder of Kia Frierson has gone unsolved for seven months now.

"She meant so much," said Frierson's mother, Michelle Macon. "I don't think grieving will ever go away for me ... they took two people from me."

Frierson, five months pregnant at the time, was found shot dead inside her car back in April.

Police have followed several leads, but no arrests have been made in the case. Organizations like Crime Stoppers have helped police keep the cold cases in the public eye.

"Even though they are old cold cases, we must work together solve these cases and try and get some of these individuals off the street," said Willie Haynes, of Crime Stoppers in Saginaw.

Haynes said some cases take longer than others to break but wants to assure Macon that eventually the bad guys get caught.

"Do not give up hope because sooner or later that individual will be caught," asserted Haynes.

Macon has no plans to give up.

"I'm going to fight this fight ... and I'm going to try and get justice for Kia," said Macon.
