Posted: Updated:
FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A traditional Thanksgiving dinner for all — not just those who have fallen on difficult times — but for anyone that would like to join us in sharing this wonderful season of thanks!

This year's event is set for Wednesday, November 27 from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Beecher Corps located at 1475 W. Coldwater Road in Flint. The doors will open to the public at 4:00 pm.

"We see this as a wonderful opportunity to open up our doors and hearts to invite the public in to share the Thanksgiving experience with us," said Major Jon Augenstein, Genesee County Coordinator for The Salvation Army.

"The meal will include all the traditional Thanksgiving fare from turkey and stuffing to delicious pies."

MTA will provide bus service at no charge this year to transport those who are not able to drive.  Transportation from the main terminal on Harrison Street in downtown Flint to the Beecher Corps will begin at 4:00 pm and run approximately every half hour until 7:00 pm absolutely free for anyone who would like to come to the dinner.

Friends, neighbors and family are all invited to the free Thanksgiving eve dinner at The Salvation Army Beecher Corps at 1475 W. Coldwater Road on Wednesday, November 27.  For more information, please call the Beecher Corps at 810-789-4003.
