Boy allegedly shoots another boy in Sanilac County

MARLETTE, MI (WNEM) -

The Sanilac County sheriff's department is looking into the death of a 12-year-old boy, who was apparently shot by another 12-year-old during a sleep over.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday on the 4000 block of Howard Road in Marlette Township. The Port Huron Times Herald reports another boy attending the sleep over called 911 to report the situation.

Deputies say no adults were at home at the time of the shooting. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the two boys have not been released.
