Eminem offers deal for Giving Tuesday

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

After you've spent yourself silly on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, make a difference this year on Giving Tuesday.

This coming Tuesday, Dec. 3, any donation made to Wolverine Human Services will be matched dollar-to-dollar by Detroit's own Eminem through the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

The Marshall Mathers Foundation's mission is to provide funds for organizations working with at-risk youth in southeast Michigan and throughout the U.S.

Wolverine Human Services is a non-profit organization that provides care for youth throughout the state of Michigan.

When Eminem learned about Wolverine's mission, he agreed to partner with them on behalf of the Marshall Mathers Foundation, which works with non-profits that are active in the fight to support disadvantaged youths.

The foundation will match donations up to a total of $100,000.

Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, was created in 2012 as a national day of charitable giving.

Giving Tuesday encourages charitable support of non-profit organizations with the money shoppers save on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday.

To make a donation to Wolverine, visit www.wolverinehs.org.
