SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Snow has fallen in many areas of the western and northern portions of Mid-Michigan, making travel tricky. A number of schools are closed across the area as a result.

Fog is also making for tough conditions in many counties on the western side of the state. In fact, a dense fog advisory is in effect until 12 p.m. Wednesday for Clare, Isabella and Gratiot counties in the TV5 viewing area.

Many other counties on the western part of the state are under that same fog advisory until the early afternoon.

As for the rest of Wednesday, scattered rain will also be possible for most of the afternoon. Temperatures will be unseasonably warm, with a high expected of around 51 degrees on Wednesday.

A trailing cold front will move through on Thursday leaving much colder air over the region for the weekend.
